Rathskeller

Had a great experience at Rathskeller. The atmosphere feels warm and authentic, with a classic German vibe that makes the place unique. The staff was friendly and attentive, answering questions clearly and helping with menu choices. We ordered items without pork, and they were very accommodating about it. The Chicken Schnitzel was crispy and flavorful, and the sides were fresh and well-seasoned. Portions were generous, and everything came out hot and well-presented. Overall, great food, good service, and a welcoming environment. Definitely worth visiting if you’re looking for authentic German-style cuisine.

First time here and we really enjoyed it. The appetizer pretzel was delicious! Sorry I forgot to take a picture, but I did remember for the rest. It is really loud in there, but the decor was pretty cool. I Ike that they have Coca-Cola as well as a rather large drink menu that included moctails which made my 20 year old happy. The food was hot and flavorful. I had the turkey schnitzel special with sweet potato mash and pretzel stuffing. We alsonhad chicken schnitzel and saur bratten and falafel schnitzel and potato cakes as well as bratwurst. Dessert was a black forest cupcake, raspberry sorbet, Madagascar vanilla ice cream and an ice cream sandwich thing that had orange elderflower on a dark chocolate cookie. I wasn't a fan of that ice cream, but the rest of the desserts were good.

It was our first time at this restaurant. The food is really good. We had the party platter and everything tasted amazing. I grew up eating German food and every bite took me back to my childhood. The staff is super nice and attentive. Definitely a must go place for those who enjoy German food.

I found this place by accident while spending a night near the BWI airport. Had the Balkan Schnitzel (pork) which was great! The spätzle were so-so, maybe I should have skipped the cheese on them. Nice cozy basement (“Keller”) and I guess during the warm season the outdoor patio will be popular. It was very loud inside the basement, though - not the easiest place to have a conversation.
