Portillo's Bloomingdale

Portillo’s is one of those places that truly lives up to its reputation. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and served quickly even when the place is busy. Their famous Chicago-style hot dogs and Italian beef sandwiches are absolutely delicious. The staff is friendly, organized, and the whole atmosphere feels lively and welcoming. Five stars for Esteban! If you want a masterclass in the Chicago-style Italian beef, this is the guy you want making your sandwich. Portillo’s beef is already famous for being slow-roasted for four hours and sliced incredibly thin, but Esteban’s attention to detail really makes it shine. The beef he serves is always melt-in-your-mouth tender, and he hits that perfect balance of gravy—whether you like it 'dipped' (fully submerged for a rich, savory bomb) or with just 'extra gravy' on top. The Turano French bread stays soft on the inside while absorbing all that secretly-spiced jus, and he never skimps on the hot giardiniera or sweet peppers. Very good atmosphere, feels very spacious and comfortable. The service was great, and surprisingly quick, no complaints there and my regards to the employees. I had the Char-Broiled Cheeseburger, aside from it definitely being oily and a little slippery, it was satisfying and I was left content. Definitely recommend. Hope everyone is being treated with the respect they deserve, for their efforts and welcoming faces.

I've been here a couple times for carry out and both times service was great and the food (roast beef and fries, onion rings) is excellent. I really can't explain how good the sandwich is.

We have been going to Portillo's for years and no matter when we go the food quality is always exceptional. This time too the food was delicious. Their service is very friendly and fast. Few things to be aware: * They have a lot of indoor dining space. * There is always a big rush here for drive thru, however inside there are hardly anyone there. * Inside seating are benches made of wood so sitting on it for a long time is not comfortable. * All food items are delicious but their hot dog and hamburger are the best. Burgers are very juice. Overall a great place to eat.
