Fun, loud, sceney and actually very good food. Angry lobster is a must for first time visitors. One of the best bars in the area. Always crowded with great live music. Prefer to sit downstairs to hear the music and better vibe

Went there with a friend for new year's eve. Place was decorated, had live music downstairs and was packed. There were no tables available downstairs so we sat upstairs. It would still be fine if management made an effort to keep same festive mood upstairs, but instead they had very soothing lullaby playing for music. Table next to us even asked for something more cheerful and they played one song and back to lullaby. Food would have been great if they didn't ruin my filet mignon. I decided to splurge for holiday and enjoy that melt-in-your-mouth meat, but I guess made a mistake asking for medium (I just didn't want blood in my plate) , which they must have punished me for by cooking it well done. Great food and a very pleasant atmosphere. Everything was well organized and ran smoothly. Special thanks to the manager for being professional, attentive, and making sure guests feel welcome. You can really tell the place is well managed. Would definitely come back!👌🏼

Best Italian in CT! The food is delicious, staff is exceptional, and live music is the icing on the cake! Donna the hostess is the sweetest and Avnor always makes sure my experience is great. Definitely try the steak and the truffle ravioli. The napoleon is the best dessert. Worth the trip from out of town for Polpo!

I really enjoyed this place. The octopus was super tender and tasty. Also, the carbonara was good.I sat at the bar and the bartenders were very nice and chatty. Also the bar is right next to the pianist that is great. We enjoy the whole experience. I could definitely repeat.
