Pastiche Bistro

Low key French cuisine. Excellent skate wing and fish fry. Great drinks (club pours), attentive service--nicely paced.

What a charming little restaurant, and the food was delicious! We had the flounder and the steak, both of which were excellent. Our waitress was delightful and helpful. It was also quiet, which is so nice when you are trying to have conversation with your dinner companions. The restaurant itself was very warm, uncomfortably so, but they were aware, so it must have been a malfunction of some sort. Overall, though, a wonderful experience!

The four of us had never been at Pastiche Bistro before. We went there Dec 2025 because my friend loves French food, there were very good reviews listed, and my friend was celebrating her birthday. I usually do not favor French food at all. There were so many wonderful inviting choices on the menu, including choices you may not expect on a French menu. ALL four of us ordered something different and ALL four dishes were OUTSTANDING! Scrumptious! My favorite all time Shrimp de Jonghe use to be at an italian place in Chicago (no, we are not from there but from Wisconsin). First place just went to Pistache Bistro. Yummy! We cannot wait to go back again. Give Pistache Bistro a try and you will not be disappointed. The service, beverages, and food were ALL excellent.

This place is cozy and has exquisite cuisine. This is another case of the rotating menu options which is great if you enjoy variety and fresh taste in your life. Great place for a romantic dinner or a family gathering. This is a new top pick for us as we had a most amazing meal. The Oysters were also huge we were impressed.

Had the escargot and Oysters Rockefeller...wonderful. Ordered the filet/lobster dish. The filet (ordered rare) was superb, with a wonderful sauce drizzled over it, and the lobster was a fine compliment. My wife had the rack of lamb and she marveled at the delicate taste. We finished with baked Alaska and a peach compote pastry...both were exceptional. The atmosphere was calming, quite, and lovely. I've had numerous filets at different venues, and this goes down as one of the top five (rivaled only by The Waterfront in Sister Bay, WI.)
