Brown Deer Public Library

Older white librarian with glasses was rude and impolite. My minor daughter does not have a phone and she had called me through the library phone to inform me to bring documents so she ca sign up for a library card. When I heard the voicemail I called back and woman on phone stated the phone isn’t used for this purpose and to make prior arrangements before hand. I walk into library to speak with staff to explain the phone policy librarian cut me off and stated phones are only used for ride pick up or emergency. If librarian had let me finished I would have stated we did have a prior arrangements before hand at x time for pickup and that the phone was used to communicate library business so she can get a library card not used for fun chit chat. Very lovely & cute and comfortable. Books were nice also. People very friendly and attentive when asking for help or questions

My kids love to go there. Most friendly and peaceful place. Very very friendly staff.

Setup here is a bit strange at first since it's on three floors and the main level really doesn't have books. You kind of have to do what feels like exiting the library area to get to elevator if you have a stroller. The building is nice and there is a good selection of board books for infants.

I experienced a great 4 hours of familiarizing myself recently with this library. I found the staff members extremely professional, kind, knowledgeable , and understanding of my needs. Loved the decor and comfortable feel of this library. Plan to visit again soon. Found another Happy Place!
