Overlord Chicken

Today I got to try the Choose Your Own Noodles Soup for $19.99 per pound and it was fun and tasty. Also, the service was very friendly and helpful.

I’ve been to this restaurant many times, and the first time I went, it was amazing. But after that, the quality started to go downhill. I’ve had a few issues before, but today was really disappointing. I ordered two soups to go, and when I got home, I realized they had given me the same broth for both — even though I had ordered two different kinds. They both had the same tomato broth. On top of that, they barely put anything in the soup — just a few tiny pieces of meat and the rest was all noodles. And honestly, the service is terrible. The first time I came here was incredible, but ever since then it’s just been disappointment after disappointment. At this point, I don’t even know if I’ll be coming back.

Overlord Fried Chicken isn’t just a name, it’s an attitude. If you don’t know what you’re looking for, you’ll walk right by. Tucked into a spot with serious dive bar energy with loud flavors and great tastes, this place feels like the kind of place you stumble into at midnight and never want to leave. The kitchen here is a straight-up flavor laboratory run by mad geniuses in aprons. The fried chicken is not just fried it’s baptized in flavor. Perfectly crisp on the outside, gloriously tender on the inside, and seasoned like someone dared them to go too far and thank God they did. You can go classic, get lit with the hot, or go full Overlord and let the spice obliterate your taste buds in the best way possible. Their crispy, spicy, juicy excellence comes in steaming hot with serious intent

It’s all about the food here at Overlord which is very good. Known for their fried chicken, this is an absolute must. The menu is diverse so feel free to be adventurous. While parking is limited, you can find street parking in front of the restaurant and on surrounding side streets. It’s BYOB here too, so if you want to to enjoy some…bring some.

This place is super fun. Off the beaten path but totally worth it. Only a 5 min drive from the beach. We did the build your own soup option, which had fresh ingredients you choose yourself. It is charged by weight so you decide how much you want! With 6 broth options and like 10 noodles options this was a really fun experience. The soup was mad good! I got the original broth at a 4 spice level. I chose a little of everything to try! I highly recommend. Oh, and definitely splurge for their lychee / jasmine iced tea!
