This was my first time trying Uzbek food, and this place is an amazing spot to experience authentic flavors. The meals were excellent — pilaf and mantı were my personal favorites. The menu is quite long, so there are many different dishes to explore, and the ayran was refreshing and delicious. The staff were kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. At one point, someone was even singing, which made the atmosphere feel warm and lively. The restaurant is decorated with traditional Uzbek objects such as instruments, clothing, and carpets, and these details really bring the place to life. For a moment, I truly felt like I had stepped into Bukhara. Overall, it’s a beautiful and culturally rich place — definitely worth a visit and highly recommended.

This year, on the first day of September in honor of Uzbekistan's thirty-fourth anniversary of Independence from the Soviet Union (Russia), I had Uzbek cuisine for the very first time at this place; this was my first time having Central Asian food apart from Afghan food. Additionally, this is my first time celebrating Uzbekistan's Independence Day at an Uzbek restaurant. I enjoyed the tandoori crispy samsa filled with pumpkin, the cheburek, and ayran (a yogurt beverage with mint leaves), and, most of all, I savored the national dish of Uzbekistan: Samarkand Plov.

I recently had dinner at Old Bukhara, and this place truly exceeded all my expectations! 🇺🇿✨ The atmosphere is incredibly cozy — the interior is decorated in the best traditions of Uzbek culture: carpets, patterns, warm lighting, and national music make you feel as if you’ve been transported straight to Tashkent. The food was absolutely amazing. We tried beshbarmak, solyanka, khash soup, and Olivier salad — everything was perfectly cooked: rich, flavorful, and full of that authentic homemade taste. You can tell the dishes are made with care and respect for tradition. All the food is halal, fresh, and hearty, with generous portions. The service was fast and very friendly — the staff were attentive and welcoming. 💬 Overall, this is one of those places you immediately want to come back to.

We’ve been to this Uzbek restaurant twice now, and both times we were absolutely impressed. The food is incredibly delicious, flavorful, and clearly made with care. What really amazed us is that our 12-year-old son, who is usually very hard to feed, ate everything he ordered that alone says a lot. Both visits were in the evening. If you don’t enjoy loud music, it might not be your vibe, but we personally love the atmosphere it feels lively and fun. The waitstaff are very attentive, friendly, and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. We actually drive here from New York City, and it’s 100% worth it. This is a place we truly enjoy and will definitely keep coming back to.

Had a good experience at Old Bukhara. I never had Uzbek food, so this cuisine was completely new to me and I was very intrigued. I was highly recommended this restaurant. The servers and staff were really nice. We asked for specific accommodations and they were able to provide them. The food is also halal. The Cheburek was so delicious, as was the Plov. My favorite dish was definitely the Chicken Tabaka with fries. It was so flavorful and cooked just right. I would recommend a visit, and I look forward to returning to try out more of the menu.
