Oak and Ivy Bed and Breakfast Rome, NY We enjoyed a delightful two night stay at the Oak and Ivy Bed and Breakfast We want to thank Fred, owner of the Oak and Ivy Bed and Breakfast in Rome, NY. He is most friendly and accommodating and his three cats are totally delightful and the highlight of our stay. Fred offers great conversation in a relaxed Victorian atmosphere and made us feel very welcome from the very beginning of our stay. The beautiful old house is decorated in period furniture, art , photographs, and other wonderful antiques... almost a museum of interesting things to see. We enjoyed two breakfasts in a gorgeous Victorian dining room and really appreciated the fine table settings and selections. Fred also went above and beyond to meet our travel schedule as far as breakfast

My husband and I had a wonderful weekend stay. The Oak and Ivy is a beautiful building and it's host Fred, has put heart and soul into it's continuing restoration. The gardens and interior really reflect his design skills. Our room was comfortable and very romantic and the breakfasts were delicious with table set reminding us of our trip overseas. My only regret is that it was a November stay so we will just have to return in December to see the house come alive for Christmas, enjoy the afternoon teas and then again in the spring to sit amongst the flowers.

Stunning, museum-quality home, made warm and welcoming by Fred and his 3 therapy cats. Perfect pot of tea on arrival, served on a well appointed tray. Quiet and peaceful, lovely bedding, perfect mattress. Delicious, very formal, multi-course breakfast, graciously and beautifully served, really outstanding -very clean table, room, and sparkling bath, friendly and comfortable. The magnificent house and yard are a labor of love, always in progress. Thank you for keeping history alive and pulling out all the stops for us!

A most beautiful and experience. The host and owner of the Oak and Ivy will provide you with an excellent experience. The beautiful mansion is decorated in the feeling of a stately English County Manor house. The guest rooms are extremely comfortable with gorgeous bathrooms. They are available for receptions, private parties and you can even book a proper High Tea. I highly recommend a visit or tea during the Christmas holiday season, the number of themed trees seems Neverending!

Stunningly furnished with antiques, charming and very comfortable (our Queen bed had a pillow-top mattress)! Delicious breakfasts attractively served. Cut crystal water glasses in our room, spacious marble shower, lovely garden. Our host was delightful. Also, we enjoyed being able to walk to the museum and fort. Best B+B I ever visited. Worth another trip to Rome.
