Nice fresh fish and fries. Grabbed some fresh battered fish (they will remove the skin if you like) to fry later at a hunting camp. Also grabbed a fish dinner to eat on the way.... which they make fresh and it was EXCELLENT. This place knows how to do a fish fry!! If you are in Rome give this one a try. Its a grab and go market, no seating. But few places offer the option to get the fish with it ready to cook for you later. Cant get busy so plan ahead.

I never thought I’d be writing a two-star review for Stan’s Seafood—I’ve been a loyal customer for over 20 years and they’ve always been consistently great. But something was seriously off this time. I ordered three haddock fillets, fries, shrimp and tenders. Everything was unusually greasy..the fillets were so greasy that the oil had pooled at the bottom of the bag and literally seeped through onto my car seat—at least a quarter cup of oil. On top of that, the chicken tenders I ordered had a couple pieces that were still raw in the middle. I spent nearly $60 and ended up throwing away a third of the food. I don’t know what changed, but this was really disappointing. Hopefully, it was just a one off.

Don't ever close or update. The nostalgia is perfect. Excellent fish fry, coleslaw and mac salad.

Best crab cakes I’ve ever had in my entire life. Just amazing seafood overall :)

Fried Haddock excellent in size and taste. Reasonably priced with Fries & Coleslaw. Highly recommended, one of the city’s long time fish markets with a great reputation.
