Nu-Quality Ice Cream Bar

I got the urge to come here for the cappuccino cooler. It certainly was hot enough for it. I remember when this place was cash-only; so I'm glad to see they updated their systems. I give the cooler a solid 5 out of 10. Not that strong of a coffee flavor, but that's fine seeing as this place is known for the ice cream. Which I have had in a dish and a blizzard. The staff is nice as well.

Stopped in and got a banana split and a turtle cheesecake sundae. The split was huge and definitely great for two people. The sundae was good. I’m not sure what the added cheesecake flavoring was but I got a big scoop of it in one bite. I thought the ice cream itself was going to be cheesecake or maybe mixed into the vanilla but it was just added on top. Would go back to get a dipped cone and you can’t beat the prices.

Essentially the same as it was decades ago: delicious! Has standard soft-serve ice cream options, milkshakes, and mixes. Just remember to take cash and your visit on a hot summer day will be a treasured memory. Update: Had the hot fudge sundae, holy cow. Incredible.

Ice cream (2 cups of vanilla, 1 chocolate dipped & 1 cherry dipped) was good, staff was friendly, the outdoor seating was relatively clean (slightly sticky) & the ground free of trash. Ample parking for the size, but you’re basically going onto a speed bump or through a hole to get into it.

An Elizabeth City Favorite! My wife is from here and has fond memories of going here as a kid. Such a pleasure to be able to take our kids here 35 years later. Can go wrong with any ice cream pick! Great dipped cones!
