Top of the top. Would drive back all the way from New York for another dining experience. Pizza is home made and top quality, get extra cheese and you’ll get a bicep workout trying to hold up a slice. Hot honey on it too was the move. Got a meatball sub and the meatballs didn’t have any taste of being frozen. Tasted like hand rolled meatballs from ground beef. It really did feel like an authentic taste of Italy. all high quality ingredients here
Had a chance to check out their new location. Very nice spot and conveniently located downtown. They are right next to Molly Pitcher brewery which is nice to grab some local beer and bring it in with you. We had great service and no complaints with the food. We were a large group and tried several different items off the menu. It was nice to finally sit and enjoy their food in house in stead of just take out. Can’t wait to get back.
I wanted to leave a better review. Unfortunately the chicken parm was a bit disappointing. I’ve tried a bite of someone else chicken parm from here and it was amazing, whatever I was served was unlike that sandwich. The bread was soggy and the chicken parm was soft and soaked in oil. The flavor was good. The cannoli was to die for probably the best I’ve ever had. The service was great. They warned me about not being able to accept card and gave an accurate time for pickup.
Nonna Ilva now open at 141 W High. Bigger kitchen and seating. Bigger menu. Still great pizza, but we went for Valentine's today and had bruschetta and ham and prosciutto croquettes for starters. Amazing ravioli and rigatoni amatriciana. Chef brought me some oysters too and they were perfect. Finished with tiramisu that wasn't too sweet. We loved everything. Go check them out. You won't regret it. We're going back for brunch tomorrow. Super nice chef and server.
Delicious!! Really great pizza. We ordered the Salsiccia and it was very well done. We've lived in Italy and this pizza was on par. Not overly done, not over sauced, not overflowing with toppings, you could taste every ingredient and nothing overpowered. We can't wait to try more. I heard they were going to expand to a bigger location, which we would love for dining in options.
