New Bern-Craven County Public Library

Victor found my family that had arrived in North Carolina while using an alias over 100 hundred years ago !!! Victor is really good and he tries as hard as he can to get you the results you are looking for. Everyone in their genealogical department is incredibly good !!! They always give their best effort !!!

Story time is so much fun! My kids love the preschool story time. Everyone is so friendly here.

A family member and the children’s department staff are the only ones who greet. I went yesterday (new year’s eve) and the check out lady wasn’t friendly.

First time visiting here. I love the Kellenberger room. They had so many books about Craven County and about most of the counties in NC. Truly a place where you can get in if you are a history buff in NC. Worth a visit. Friendly staff.

First of all, no one usually speaks when you come in which is sad. The library use to be a place where I could go to work quietly. At this temporary location employees and visitors talk loudly all throughout the library. I couldn't read material for a class I was taking at the library due to people on phones, laughing and talking loudly. When I print the ladies have been helpful and the new printer is nice But, honestly my experience at this new location has been very disappointing. Kids don't get the experience that I had of knowing that the library is a quiet place where people read, research, work on classes, etc.
