The Jarvis at 220 - Bed and Breakfast and Wedding Venue

My husband and I were in New Bern visiting some friends and stayed at The Jarvis over Valentine weekend. What a beautiful Bed and Breakfast. The manager, Ian, was very informative about activities and places to go. Ian's breakfasts were fabulous! The room we had was lovely with a wonderful view and private porch. The bed was very comfortable with a lovely ensuite. I would highly recommend staying at The Jarvis.

Exceptional service and luxurious accommodations all within walking distance to the best restaurants in New York Bern! Ian, the Innkeeper, made sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. He went above and beyond to prepare delicious breakfasts each morning and gave great suggestions for places to visit downtown. This was one of the best bed and breakfasts that we’ve stayed in! We will be back!

We stayed in the Simpson Room over the weekend. This was our first time ever staying in a Bed and Breakfast but was a bucket list item for me. The Jarvis at 220 exceeded all my expectations!! We were met by Ian who is phenomenal! He made us feel at home immediately. The room was wonderful and very comfy. Ian gave us restaurant recommendations and answered all the questions we had. I have to say the best part of my trip was breakfast Saturday morning. I was not expecting to be offered Eggs Benedict.....not just traditional but 3 varieties.....and yes I tried all 3! I don't find many places where I'm from that offer eggs Benedict! Totally made my weekend! The Jarvis at 220 is beautifully decorated and is located in a great area. My husband and I just spent a wonderful afternoon and overnight here in the large Jarvis suite. We are local to the area but we were celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary and thoroughly enjoyed our get away! We had the entire house to ourselves and Ian (the Innkeeper) was marvelous! He was super accommodating and we felt so at home. The Jarvis with all its history is a stunning residence and beautiful inside and out! Ian made us an awesome breakfast and we enjoyed all his knowledge of the downtown and had great conversations. We will definitely be back for another stay!

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the Jarvis. The Innkeeper, Ian, is an absolute delight and he makes a fantastic smoked salmon and avocado eggs Benedict too! Warm and inviting, it is everything you would expect and want from a B and B in a beautiful historic town. The Jarvis has my highest recommendation to anyone looking for a place to stay in Downtown New Bern.
