Benjamin Ellis House Bed & Breakfast

Stayed at the Benjamin Ellis House for our first visit to New Bern. Lovely historic home with a great downtown location. Easy walking to pretty much anywhere in the old Town. The room was well appointed and very comfy. Tracy and Gretchen were wonderful hosts and their breakfasts were creative and delicious. Will be staying here again and would definitely recommend.

I've stayed at the Benjmain Ellis House B&B multiple times and it never fails to be a delight! There were lovely, warm holiday decorations and such a welcoming atmosphere. The breakfasts were excellent, and my dietary needs were deliciously accommodated. The B&B is in a great location - the New Bern downtown historic district is a short walk. I highly recommend the Benjamin Ellis House - you won't be disappointed.

The Benjamin Ellis House was such a treat! Our room was well appointed and very comfortable; bed was comfortably firm. It was also nice to have a sitting area and jigsaw puzzle-in-progress right outside our door. The area was safe and quietly busy during the day with other inns, businesses and stores nearby, but was blessedly quiet overnight. Breakfast started at 8:30 AM - so nice; we were on vacation by the way! Breakfast and snacks were all delicious. I would certainly stay here again!

We have stayed at the Benjamin Ellis multiple times over the years and always enjoy our time there. The location is convenient to local restaurants and shopping, the rooms are private and the atmosphere is perfect for a cozy, weekend getaway. Gretchen and Tracy are amazing hosts! We have stayed here many times over the years, and every stay has been delightful. The rooms are comfortable and spacious and tastefully decorated. Breakfast is always terrific. The location is perfect for enjoying New Bern. Gretchen and Tracy are ideal hosts. I would give them 6 stars if I could.
