Montero's Restaurant, Bar and Catering

I dream about eating here all the time! I'm a good hour drive away, but I absolutely make the trip because this place is so special. The food, atmosphere and the people really make this place special. I could go on and on, but I'll leave you with a picture of the chocolate cheesecake that my daughter and I wasted no time finishing.

Highly recommended! Everything was amazing for our 37th wedding anniversary dinner. Made reservations and we're seated on time, great ambiance and outstanding service! The food was delicious and well prepared. The card was signed by several staff and a nice touch. Madison provided great service and checked on us just right. Will definitely return. Thank you!

Montero's is a hidden gem in the little town of Elizabeth City, North Carolina. The atmosphere is classy. The decor is understated and nice. The staff is pleasant and knowledgeable. The food is fabulous. There are many vegetarian options, seafood, beef, chicken and even pork. The options are diverse. I had Spinach and Mushroom Wellington. The portion was large. I had mashed potatoes as my side. My husband had the crab cakes. He got the larger plate with 2 cakes. His sides were fries and cole slaw. His crab cakes were wonderful. In addition to the yummy food, we had for appetizer. My husband had the vegetarian lumpia. I had the small orange salad. Our experience was great. Food was really good, portion was slightly small for my liking, was left wanting more.The starters, the muffins are just a perfect bite before the meal. Service was quick and efficient. Atmosphere is perfect for a date, clean, large space. Enough parking and bathrooms. Will definitely go back!

Honestly, I need to frequent this amazing eatery more often. Since we first found it, it was SO SPECIAL we’ve saved it for special occasions. That being said, the staff makes you feel extra special, “almost” better than family LOL. Go now and you’ll see what I mean! Delicious offerings, big portions, attentive waitstaff, fair pricing?! What are you waiting for… They have it all!
