Everything about this place reflects an incredible attention to detail—every element is clearly designed to make each bite perfect. The sandwich was outstanding: warm, perfectly toasted sourdough, gently heated ham, Brie that was melted just right (rich but never gooey), and baby spinach with the ideal crunch. The müesli was just as impeccable—creamy Greek yogurt, a spoonful of local honey, and finely chopped apple that brought everything together beautifully.

We were very impressed, the quality of everything was stand out. Fresh impressive salad, beautiful artisan sandwiches. Memorable potato chips even! A beautiful sweet tea and London fog to wash it down. Perfection here!

Very small and quiet German restaurant. I was hoping for more food for the price but what we ordered was still delicious. The tea was also delightful. The back room has a view to a stream that flows under the building which is calming. I believe the college students enjoy going here during lunch but we came just before the rush.

Great first time experience! I love Shepherdstown and everytime I'm visiting I try to dine at a new place each time. Very glad I finally got to try this little gem! Owners were extremely helpful and friendly. Ok a cold rainy day I had to go with the grilled cheese and tomato soup, and included the ham and brie with the soup du jour, a mushroom sherry soup. The soups were extremely flavorful! The tomato was by far the best I've ever had! The owner/chef makes his own infused oils, and the tomato soup had the basil infused oil while the mushroom soup had scallion infused oil. It's amazing what that little detail could do to the flavor of the soup! The sandwiches were outstanding and tasted extremely fresh! We had the most delicious sandwiches here! Tuna melt on gluten free bread and a chicken salad on sourdough. Had a delicious matcha latte and covered my partner’s elderberry iced tea so much, I ordered one for myself. 💜💜
