📍 Location Very close to the international airport, which makes it super convenient. You can literally come straight here after landing. 🍶 Bottle Policy They allow BYOB, which is a big plus. We brought sake and plum wine. Personally, I think sake pairs much better with the food. 🍽️ Food • Oysters: not recommended. They were small and a bit pricey. Seasoning was fine, but not worth it overall. • Van Van roll: very tasty. • Grilled scallops: slightly overcooked. • Sashimi & sushi quality: very good overall. The amaebi (sweet shrimp), engawa, and fatty tuna were all excellent. • Highly recommend the Hotate Mayo Gunkan and the uni. So satisfying, especially eating the uni in one bite. • Grilled salmon collar: just average. 💰 Price On the expensive side, but the quality of the sashimi and sp

Mitch’s Sushi in Honolulu delivers the kind of experience that keeps you planning your next visit before you’ve even left the parking lot. Nestled near the airport, it feels like a true hidden gem: unassuming from the outside, unforgettable once you sit down. The fish is astonishingly fresh, with pristine cuts that let the natural sweetness and texture of the seafood shine through, and the rice is seasoned with the kind of quiet confidence you only find at serious sushi bars. Every plate that comes out looks like it was composed for a photo, clean and all about the fish, but the vibe stays relaxed and welcoming rather than stuffy. What really sets Mitch’s apart is the balance between fine-dining quality and that casual, local, almost “secret spot” energy. It’s the kind of place where you c

An amazing place with some top of the class quality fish being served. Loved each piece of sushi which was the chef's choice. The fish quality was one the most superior I have had in a while! It feels like a totally hole in the wall kind of place in the industrial area of Honolulu. But it is most definitely a hidden gem. One more thing that was a stand-out was service with a smile. They really take care of you and check on you regularly to ensure your experience is enhanced. I would most definitely recommend a visit to this gem if one finds themselves in Honolulu! I was very glad for this to be my last gastronomic experience before catching my flight back to NYC!

The sushi is very fresh and I had the best salmon nigiri ever here.. so buttery and tasty. It melts in your mouth. Casual atmosphere that you would never know what it is from the outside. The inside is a lot bigger than you imagine once you look at the outside facade. They reuse plastic chopsticks yay…thank you for caring for the environment. Free Street parking. The food came out really fast. Service is friendly and nice.

This has to be the freshest sushi I have had on the island. Probably the freshest in all of USA. Only drawback was the miso soup was not served hot. We got there at 4pm so we had the best service since we were the only table. The Salmon Kama and salmon belly was really good. The best is our sushi platters. Thank you Mitch’s for an awesome food!
