Messy Mike's Barbecue and Catering

Stopped by yesterday for the last day. I've been going here for several years now and every time it's been excellent! I was lucky enough to get the beef ribs because I was told that extras were cooked for us. I think this is appreciation for all of us. I went later in the day and most of the sides were sold out my fault for waiting. He told me what was available and I forget what the name was but his favorite, it was delicious! I rushed home so fast that I didn't think to get a picture of the gigantic beef ribs. Then today at work I told a few people about Messy Mike's but told them that they need to wait until spring to give it a try. So drooling about the leftovers I rushed home and made the sandwich, still delicious! Thank you for everything you do and enjoy your well deserved time off

Solid Barbecue spot operating out of a trailer. Stumbled upon this place during my vacation in Derry. They’re only open Friday–Sunday, but catering gigs knock them out of service one or two days a week. I learned that the hard way earlier this year, so definitely check their site before making the trip. When I came this past Sunday, the line wasn’t bad. Just 3–4 teams ahead, and I had my order within 20 minutes. The menu offered a solid spread of meats plus rotating weekly specials. We went with brisket, ribs, and their signature peach belly bites. Our favorite here was the peach belly bites. Sticky, smoky, with that sweet fruitiness cutting through the fat. If you are looking for authentic Southern BBQ and want the best of the best I highly recommend stopping at Messy Mike's BBQ. We used their catering services for our son's 18th birthday party. The food and service were top-notch! We got the following: 1x mac and cheese tray, x2 cornbread trays, x2 Pulled Pork trays, x2 Pulled Chicken trays, and x2 Brisket trays. We also ordered the Blue Hogg Original & Champion Blend sauces as well as the Alabama White Sauce. All of them were amazing. Shout-out to Brianna who made this process easy! All of the food tasted out of this world! High quality meat and the art of smoking. Amazing job 👏

Went for the 1st time today. I say don’t walk…run! Hands down the best brisket I have ever had. Went close to closing time and they were out of several items, I can see why. I will be going back and trying as many items as possible. The owner was extremely friendly and courteous. He brought us some burnt ends to bring home and try, if I wasn’t so full I would have eaten them right there. The picnic tables with umbrellas were perfect for the day. The area is well maintained and clean.

Drove an hour and forty minutes to try this place out. Worth the drive. The line was no match for the crew. Got a pound of the peach tea pork belly. The smoke flavor was great, and it’s important to note that it was not overwhelming. Jalapeño sausage is a must try. If you leave without trying the brisket, you should be ashamed. Many places struggle to nail the brisket. Not these guys. Oh, and get the mac and cheese before they run out. Fortunately, I did. 10/10 would recommend. Don’t let the prices scare you, you get what you pay for in quality and quantity.
