Customer Reviews
Great little place. Service reminisce of days of old. I feel like I'm in the actual town of Mayberry. Waitress was top knotch. Food was like Grandma used to make. Pork Schnitzel was perfect. Mashed potatoes where ok. Peach cobbler was worth the trip.
Our family are all "Andy Griffeth" lovers, so taking my mom and my 3 kids to this place was a blast!! Good memories and a fantastic ambience...the food is great!.... the staff were so friendly and helpful.. so. much. fun!!!
Very good place for classic home cooking. Quaint old fashioned place and they play Andy Griffith on several very old tv's. Been here several times. This time the food took a lot longer to come out. While we were still waiting, a female hostess sat some folks at a nearby table. She was telling the about the special with awesome detail."dynamite pork chops covered with (something or other) "it's delicious " she said. "And the grilled Brussel sprouts drizzled with..she went on and on....now I am regretting ordering a burger. Our food came out warm. My wife's fried chicken was excellent and it came with homemade mashed potatoes with gravy along with a bowl of sliced cucumbers in a type of sweet vinegar type. It was great. My burger was good, nothing special but good. I did not care for the
Cute atmosphere. Service was prompt and friendly, however, the food not great. My fried chicken breast was small and dry. Overcooked and only barely warm as we're the mashed potatoes. Green beans were tasty, but barely warm. My husband said his beef Manhattan wasn't hot at all and dry as well. This was a Wednesday night at 6 p.m. and the restaurant was not busy at all.
First meal since new owners. Other than bakery and breakfast Saturday and Sunday things are pretty much the same. Breakfast food was good but was slow in being prepared/delivered. We weren't in a hurry so no problem for us. Server was very polite and pleasant.
