Marinitas

Used to love this place. Last few times have been off. Couple times were totally empty and then this last time they had some folks but not too busy. This last time the service & food was terrible. I think maybe our server was a bar-back or busser who got thrown onto the floor? Took 20 min until I went up to say we hadn’t gotten water or chips & salsa. Dude comes over still without water or chips to take our order and doesn’t apologize. I get up again to ask for water & chips after waiting another 10 after ordering. While we were waiting a couple was seated next to us then ended up leaving because no one waited on them. I saw another table experience the same thing. No waters or chips were brought to any of the surrounding tables without people asking while we were there. Food comes and is

The food is delicious. I love to get their beans, green rice, super fresh tortillas, guacamole and their delicious slaw! Everything tastes very fresh and flavorful! My husband also loves their Brussels sprouts. It is one of the few places in Marin that caters to omnivores, vegetarians, vegans, and people who are gluten free! The service is always great and I love the atmosphere with the well spaced and comfortable booths! They make a great margarita!

Service was very good, very attentive. Ordered the Carnitas Dinner Plate. Big basket of warm, light, crispy and delicious tortilla chips. The verde/roja salsas were flavorful and delicious. The atmosphere is nice, very high ceilings, dark, lots of finished wood. This would be a great place to take a date. The carnitas is served on a bed of black beans and served with onion and cotija cheese on top. The quality of the ingredients is very good. My only gripe with the meal is the carnitas should have been seasoned better, it was on the bland side. The service really stood out. I will definitely come back here, though I would try something different on the menu. Highly recommend Marinitas.

Marinitas catering was A+ for a surprise birthday party exceeding all expectations for exceptional food, service, and professionalism! Guests loved the whole menu! Very generous portions!

The taco dorados are so delicious and yummy. Everything here has a good taste and high quality, both in food and service.
