Bubbala's Neighborhood Eatery

Small place with good food. It's owner is very nice and fun to talk to. Food is a good comfort food. And worth the amount asked for. It's a good hangout to enjoy lunch and have a nice conversation. There are a few tables outside to sit and about 5 or more inside.

Finally got to try Bubbala's today with some girlfriends and wow—it was amazing! We tried a little bit of everything: matzo ball soup, blintzes, reuben, pastrami sandwich, and a bagel with whitefish salad. Literally everything was soo good! They nailed all of the classics. I can't wait to go back and try more of their menu. The restaurant is super cute too, and the owner and staff were so nice!! 💖

Delicious lunch! The brisket sandwich was delectable. The pastrami sandwich was very tasty. The apple almond strudel was out of this world! One of the best pastries I’ve ever had! The knish was lovely and the oolong monkey bread blew us away! Very warm and welcoming atmosphere to bring my young toddler too and they have books and things for kids to enjoy.

I really wanted to love this place and was genuinely excited to have a traditional Jewish deli in town. I’ve been about five times now, and overall the experience has been mixed. The coffee drinks are consistently amazing, and I will say the older staff members are truly lovely, warm, and welcoming. Unfortunately, there’s a younger guy who works there who seems genuinely miserable to be there, and it shows. He never acknowledges you, doesn’t respond when you say thank you, and even when you tip well he seems annoyed that customers are there at all. We’ve all worked customer service. A smile and basic kindness go a long way, especially in a neighborhood deli. That kind of energy can really scare people away. Food-wise, I was especially disappointed this last visit. I clicked liked it although I am still looking forward to trying the place. I had to click stars in order to post this comment, which I wanted to post in advance in hopes that the restaurant might become more of a real Jewish Deli than the sandwich photos show. The pictures show the sandwiches to be super skimpy, nothing like an authe tic Jewish deli makes sandwiches with the thinly sliced meat layered high and thick. For decades the San Francisco Bay Area has gotten away withcalling mere sandwich shops Jewish delis, You're not really serving this sad little Skippy sandwiches with 2 to 3 slices of layers of meat instead of many layers of delicious slices of meat piled high.
