Stopped here on Sunday because of the reviews…so glad we did! From our wonderful server to the amazing food…it was an absolute pleasure! Authentic Italian, from the homemade pesto with the warm focaccia to the chicken Parmesan and shrimp scampi….CHEF’S KISS! So delicious!!! If you are in Salem, be sure to stop here.

The Buffet was the best I can ever remember it being. Maybe because they had one of my favorites "Sausage & Peppers" that is a first time I ever remember it being on the Buffet. I have been a customer since Sal owned the restaurant more than 20 yrs ago. The best Italian restaurant in the Roanoke Valley or Southwest VA..........Great access from I-81Exit 137.......

We had a wonderful experience at Mama Maria's last night! To be honest, it wasn't our first choice but we were up against bedtime and needed to choose somewhere close to our hotel and we are SO happy with how it worked out. Our server was attentive (I think his name was Alfred) and made great recommendations - everything was delicious! We tried Italian margaritas, pizza, 5 meat Lasagna, mussels, salads and Gelato!

Such a cozy little pizzeria with amazing and friendly staff. The pizza was cooked perfect! Crust was crispy and foldable just like a true authentic Italian crust should be! Definitely give this place a try if you haven’t already. It was 🤌🏼🇧🇬🍕

I'm writing this review BECAUSE I have not been to this restaurant since I was a RC college student in the late 90's. My roommate and I came here for the lunch buffet too many times to count once we got tired of the campus lunch menu... Pretty sure my freshman year girlfriend and I did a "parental meet" here with our folks... To see that they are *still* serving up great food almost THIRTY YEARS LATER brings a tear to my eye. Congratulations!
