I learned to like oysters in Damariscotta, ME so I ordered some oysters for my husband's birthday celebration. First of all, the oysters were absolutely wonderful. Oyster perfection. The oyster naysayer in our party was raving about the fresh, briny taste and perfect consistency. The guy who only wanted one kept coming back for more. Secondly, the packaging, inserts and presentation were great and personal. Last but not least, the customer service was spot on. I needed to update the delivery date and the change was made with cheerful correspondence. Can't wait to check out the restaurant the next time we are in Portland. I would not hesitate to order again. YUM.

This location has the best oysters I have ever had, and great service. However, I am ranking 4 stars for the operating hours reliability. During one visit on a Thursday, there was a trivia night and they were not accepting any customers. Then, 2 weeks ago on a Wednesday night, when it said they are open, I showed up and nobody was there. Call ahead I suppose, but it would be nice if a restaurant was more reliable with days of operation.

We went there for their happy hour and we ate so happy that we did!! All oysters were so fresh and they were very generous with Prosecco. It is located in a kinda weird / dodgy neighbourhood but it is worth going there!

10000/10 WE LOVED IT! Both of the girls were so friendly and welcoming! The minnionette was delicious and added a fun tang!

After reading all of the stellar reviews, we made Maine Oyster Company our first stop after arriving in Portland. It did not disappoint! Charming ambiance and the staff was so friendly and welcoming. We ordered two dozen oysters for the four of us and we all agreed they were the best we have ever had. HIGHLY recommend this fabulous find!
