LUNA Mexican Bar & Grill

Tried this place for the first time. We were pleasantly surprised by this place. This is a more upscale Mexican restaurant. There are the typical Mexican dishes but then there was some dishes that you do not see all the time. We had the Taco al pastor and the steak quesadilla. Staff was friendly and attentive. We will be back to try some of the other items.

I really want to like this place and maybe it was just the particular dish I ordered that was off. Let me start by saying the restaurant is decorated uniquely with baskets for light fixtures in the ceiling. Love that touch. The service was very attentive and polite. The drawback was that the salsas that came with the chips were very"watery" if that makes sense. Also the chicken in my chicken enchiladas tasted reminiscent of the canned chicken from Sam's. Not very much flavor at all. But I will say the rice was flavorful and the sauce was very good. Just wish the star of the show would have shown up more.

This restaurant offers an extremely pleasant atmosphere with elegant decor and balanced music. The chips and salsa are exquisite. Quite possibly the best chips and salsa I have ever had. The queso is also incredible! As for the entrees they are also full of bright rich flavors and well seasoned. By far out-pacing other Mexican restaurants in the area. Definitely don't forget the dessert, as a chocolate fanatic, the flourless chocolate cake is excellent. The tres leches cake is also one the best I have ever had as well.

I’ve been here a couple of times and this time it was just a reminder as to why I keep coming back! Food, atmosphere, and service is impeccable! I had the enchiladas suizas with chicken and tomatillo salsa! Delectable! Pollo con mole, pollo quesadilla with a pineapple mango salsa. We finished our meal with a tasty Tres leches cake! To die for! My family and I were overwhelmed! We will continue to support this establishment.

Second time eating here. Our waiter Alfredo was excellent with recommendations and overall service. Very nice clean and modern atmosphere. Wonderful Margaritas at Happy Hour and the food was a bit more upscale than most Mexican restaurants. Excellent Fajitas and Quesadillas. Alfredo made this a very pleasurable evening. He was on top of things without being intrusive. Absolutely give this restaurant a try.
