This place is as good as the reviews say. Not only is the service good and quick, the food is really great. We loved the waffle we had. The French toast was delish and we can’t stop talking about how good the breakfast sausage was!
Great breakfast place. Place felt home, cozy and their food was great! Good portion and the food tasted fresh. Had the omelet and blueberry waffle yummy! Would come back when on town.
I will review the restaurant below, but first, beware of an "issue" (as they call it) that they've been having for months, where they come out with specials at lower prices and then bill you for the full price!! Most customer don't even realize this because they trust the restaurant and never review their check before they pay. Now, about the restaurant: We've been coming to Leo's since it was located in Newtown (late 80's - early 90's) and until this fiasco with the billing "issue," it was one of our favorite, most-often-frequented breakfast spots. They have a fantastic waffle dish, covered in fruit and a delicious raspberry yogurt dressing that was my personal favorite. They have other other breakfast dishes favorited by my family. Overall the food is fresh and very good. Service
Thoroughly bitten by the restaurant challenge bug, I took a quick drive over to Southbury to tackle the Kitchen Sink Platter offered at Leo’s Restaurant. A menu staple of Leo’s menu since their 1987 opening, The Kitchen Sink includes three soft pancakes, three slices of Challah French Toast, an ENTIRE Belgian waffle, a side of crispy bacon, several succulent sausages, scrambled eggs, home fries, fresh fruit, an a hot cup of coffee (even in my beloved decaf). Completion of this creation earn you a free T-shirt. Even though only 30% of people who order this king sized dish actually finish, I knew this would prove no match for my bottomless stomach. Indeed, I polished off the whole shebang in a speedy 11:40, easily surpassing the owners wildest imagination. Leo’s scrumptious challenge may n
Nice local spot for breakfast, very friendly staff, they are popular and can get quite busy. A lot of great seasonal and year round specials. The "Eight is Enough" and "Threes Company" are family favorite picks. Fresh baked goods/treats also available at front counter.
