Puglia Pizzeria

What an absolutely incredible Italian restaurant! If you’re tired of the usual mediocre pizza and Italian dishes, try Puglia Pizzeria in Southbury. Chef Puglia is from Italy, and he brings all the wonderful regional dishes for us to our enjoy. Not only are his entrees so flavorful and delicious, but his pizza is truly remarkable. There are so many unusual combinations to choose from, all with the very freshest ingredients. Chef Puglia’s pizza crust is so delicious, it’s really outstanding. We were so happy to find this restaurant and each meal we’ve had was fantastic. This is our favorite place to go now and we are looking forward to our next visit. First time here. I ordered take-out, chicken parmesan and a meatball-sausage pizza. Both items were very good. The chicken parmesan portion was large enough for 2 meals, pasta was cooked al dente and the sauce was not overpowering. The pizza was cooked well, crispy crust with ample toppings. I know they would have been even better if I had eaten in the restaurant and not had them as takeout. No matter where you order takeout from, the wait time from cooking to finally eating the food always seems to effect the final product. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

The food was really tasty, and the customer service was great! The young lady who served us was very pleasant and welcoming. However, I would recommend being cautious with portion fairness. I ordered the shrimp alla vodka, and while the pasta portion was oversized, it only came with 4 medium shrimp. For the price of a full shrimp serving, I expected more, typically 6 shrimp is a standard portion. Overall, great flavor and great service, but the shrimp portion didn’t match what I was charged for.

Best eggplant ever had we were visiting I wish we lived closer within three nights I ordered it twice there was eight of us all different types of food was ordered in all of it was delicious definitely highly recommended the takeout service was smooth , the people were just like a family feeling!

My husband thoroughly enjoyed the lasagna, remarking that it tasted just like it was made at home. As for my roast beef grinder, I wasn't particularly fond of the sauce, as I found it to be a bit too sweet for my liking.
