Lazy Flamingo

Lazy Flamingo on Sanibel offers a convenient and attractive location with a relaxed, casual atmosphere. The service was efficient and friendly, contributing to a smooth dining experience. The food was generally good in terms of flavor. One drawback was that the vegetables in the tacos appeared to be frozen, which affected the texture. Despite this, the overall taste of the food was still good. Overall, Lazy Flamingo delivers good service, a pleasant setting, and solid food, making it a reliable choice on Sanibel.

It’s been a while since we have gone to the Lazy Flamingo, and it’s definitely a bit different than the “Old Lazy Flamingo.” We went on a Monday night (the week between Christmas and New Year’s) and the food was okay; however, the kitchen was extremely slow and overwhelmed. It took about 40 minutes to get our food after ordering. Not a terrible choice if you’re looking for something extremely casual, just make sure you go during a time where they aren’t super busy.

I had a great lunch! Reasonable prices for the Island and the food was good. Great place to stop after a nice bike ride! My boyfriend said these were "The Best French Fries he has had in a long time..." 🍟

The restaurant is very welcoming. I am from Miami where kindness is not common, even in places that are service oriented so I delighted to experience the warmth from the staff here. I was a in the mood for fresh grouper and they did not disappoint. It was delicious and worth going back for. I was able to watch the FSU vs Alabama game which was great. I see myself going back next time I am in town. The shrimp was a overcooked but I can work with that.

Great little eatery with island vibes! I had the conch chowder with an apatizer of conch fritters. It was delicious, filling and reasonably priced. It also offers both indoor and covered outdoor seating for those beautiful Florida days!
