La Carreta Derry

Google Maps will take you to the correct location. Ignore the sign near the Dunkin along RT 28 in Derry. This restaurant is located at the Derry Meadows SHOPPES. Similar to other La Carreta restaurants but there is something unique about the interior that I cannot put my finger 🤘 on. I liked the setup and it caught my attention right away. Very friendly service! I was given the La Carreta complimentary chips and salsa immediately. I ordered Special Lunch # 8, burrito 🌯 with a tostada and Mexican rice 🌾. It was good 👍 and I was surprised 😯 that I was able to finish such a lot of food! The same with Special Lunch #5 and #9! #9! #9!#9! Hey! Shut off the Sgt. Pepper 🫑 album, please! Thanks! Highly recommended. Large portions of excellent, authentic Mexican food at small portion prices. Very friendly family run business. Very low employee turnover rate over the years so even the workers like the place very much. I really cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. I try to get there a couple times each week.

Our family really loves this spot. We've been going for many years and it's our favorite mexican food in the area (we've tried them all). We really love the staff. The margaritas are absolutely the best around. Their chili relleno is mega good, with really nice creamy cheese inside. Really, everything we've tried is good. TMI but our son claims that it's the only mexican food restaurant that doesn't make his stomach upset. Anyways... Check it out!

My husband and I recently moved to Derry from the Bangor, Maine area. This was hands down the best Mexican restaurant we have been to. Very friendly staff, the inside is very well decorated and beautiful and food was delicious!! We shared the quesabirria and the chicken chimichangas, both were fantastic!

I just don't think you can go wrong ordering anything here. The staff is polite, the atmosphere is fun! They offer a full bar and table side guacamole made to your preference, this is an absolute must and so delicious! Not pictured, a side of grilled jalapeños, dusted in garlic and chili powder, grilled and cut into chunks, this was INCREDIBLE, something so minimal added such a punch of flavor to your meal. Taco Salad - suggestion, go chicken or steak, the ground beef gets a little too wet for the shell. Kids cheese quesadilla, side of fries and mixed fajitas, hot and delicious! Churros were a hit with my daughter, these were a little dense for my liking but she was happy so it's a win.
