Came here with five friends, and we had an absolute blast. The staff was cheerful and handled our big order like pros, suggesting platters so we could share. The food was incredible — crispy pata was a standout, and every side dish had its own unique taste. The atmosphere was buzzing with energy, filled with chatter and upbeat music, making it perfect for groups.
New to the area, and meztisa, I know my Filipino food and rarely will eat at a Filipino restaurant because I find the quality of the food so poor compared to my family's cooking. I was dying for some longanisa and decided to give this spot a shot. I ordered the longasilog and was so pleased with my food and the friendly service! The longanisa tasted super good, like it was grilled. It wasn't greasy as I honestly expected it to be. The garlic rice was awesome! Very garlicky and tasted just like you get in the Philippines. They also know how to cook their eggs properly! You would think more people would know how to cook eggs without completely browning and drying out the edges (I have had the absolute worst fried eggs at Thai restaurants). My eggs were totally soft like I cook at home, see p
This Filipino restaurant deserves all the hye. The servers knew every dish and were eager to recommend their specialties. I tried pancit bihon and sisig, and both were expertly seasoned with authentic flavors. The plating was phot-worthy, and the rustic-meets-modern ambiance gave the whole place character. It felt like discovering a hidden gem worth aring with readers.
I ordered a Halo halo type dessert here for my daughter one day. There was one other person ordering. The woman working was rude, and took forever to make the dessert. She didn't speak when she finally gave me my order, and my daughter said the dessert tasted like it was very old, and had a funky taste throughout. I'll never go back.
I needed some Lumpia for a small party and found Kusima. Very delicious! For some strange reason it's hard to find good lumpia in Sacramento. I haven't been to every Filipino place in Sacramento but I have tried many. Kusima's lumpia was a big hit at the party. I intend to return and try some of their other dishes. We had the veggie and the pork.
