What a terrific find! My friend and I happened upon this place after having coffee across the street, and we’re so glad we did. We were greeted warmly as soon as we walked in, and the whole place had a casual, welcoming vibe. I had the curry carrot soup, which was packed with wonderful flavor. My friend and I also shared the hummus—it was incredibly creamy and absolutely delicious. The true star of the show, though, was dessert: the tahini chocolate chip cookie. It was utterly divine and something I’ll be dreaming about. Perfectly balanced between savory and sweet, with a texture that was both crispy and creamy. Prices were very reasonable, and the service was genuinely personable, which made the whole experience even better

Meza is a perfect addition to midtown. The food is excellent: would highly recommend the eggplant chickpea bowl. Everything we ordered was delicious and I can’t wait to go back and try the whole menu over time! I look forward to seeing their restaurant thrive! Staff and owners were lovely, cozy interior with great music and beautiful art. I might have to get their tahini chocolate chip cookies as a weekly habit 🤭

Meza California provides an interesting experience unlike any other restaurant in Midtown. Meza cleverly and successfully blends Middle Eastern and Mexican cuisines into something truly unique and delicious. We tried the Meza sampler which contained labneh (yogurt spread), hummus, muhummara (walnut, peppers, pomegranate), and baba ghanouj (eggplant and tahini). These are all standard Middle Eastern dishes, but Meza adds a twist by topping each spread with a Mexican style salsa. This adds an additional and unconventional depth of flavor. The dish also comes with marinated olives and flatbread. Lets talk about that flatbread. It has the fluffy, chewy, and "breadiness" qualities of a pita, but the taste and texture of a homemade flour tortilla. The sever explained that the bread is so

This halal Arab-Mexican restaurant has been a wonderful find for me in the downtown/midtown Sac area Great food, great drinks, great music, even better staff I had their Hummus, Taco Arabe, and Lemonade Arabe and all were top notch Hummus 9/10: hummus has been the best that I’ve had in the Sac area, though I do prefer pita bread served with the hummus Taco Arabe 10/10: HUGE portion, easlily shareable, great savory taste of al pastor lamb Lemonade Arabe: 15/10 hands down some of the best Arab lemonade I’ve had Wonderful hospitality Hope this place gets the attention it deserves!

I've got a restaurant review I have to share. Meza California has officially celebrated its grand opening this week and I was lucky enough to visit today. First, let's get the disclaimers out of the way. Meza is a business in the Alchemist Kitchen Incubator Program. I am the CEO of Alchemist CDC, home of that program. I've had the good fortune to know Kasandra, the founder of Meza, since she first joined our program a few years ago. So I went into this lunch with the expectation of enjoying the food, and cannot escape an underlying bias, BUT I feel certain that the experience of my taste buds was not biased. This was one of the best meals I have ever eaten. This is not an exaggeration. My friend and I split the shakshouka and the Taco Arabe. I've had several other Meza entrees before, bu
