Love this place. Honestly I could end the review right there because it is a must go, but I will elaborate in case you need a little more convincing. The location has a unique and cozy atmosphere. It is a little dark inside, but in a calming way. Not the kind of dark that makes you sleepy, more like a warm wine red glow that relaxes your mood. The ethnic decor adds character and gives the whole space a chill vibe that feels inviting and comfortable. For this visit I started with hummus and a Greek salad, which are usually my go to appetizers. My friend and I then shared a bit from two entrees. From the moment the plate arrived, it was a feast for the senses: beautifully presented and bursting with color. The chicken shawarma was perfectly seasoned, juicy, and full of rich, smoky flavor. The hummus was some of the best I’ve ever had: creamy, fresh, and topped with just the right drizzle of olive oil and a sprinkle of paprika. The cucumber and tomato salad added a bright, refreshing balance, and those sweet potato fries? Crispy perfection. Every bite tasted authentic and made with care. The portion sizes were generous, and you can tell they prioritize quality ingredients. The service was friendly and attentive without being intrusive, and the atmosphere had that cozy, casual

BEWARE: Not authentic and misleading. I ordered chicken shawarma, but this was not shawarma at all. What I got was thick diced chicken breast cooked in a pan, something you can literally make at home in 2 minutes. Real chicken shawarma LAYERED ON A VERTICAL SKEWER, slow-roasted, and SHAVED IN TO THIN SLICES. That’s the whole point of ordering it. If you just cube chicken and fry it in a pan, it doesn’t magically become shawarma. People go to restaurants to get food that’s properly prepared, not for shortcuts. Don’t be lazy, guys, do the job. Get a skewer, roast it properly, and make thin slices like shawarma is supposed to be. (picture attached but you know it anyways) The name promised one thing, the plate delivered something completely different. Disappointing.

This is one of my all time favorite places to eat. Everything is outstanding. We love the owner Mike as well and enjoy seeing him everyone we come. I get the Lamb Shawarma almost every time. I always wish I could eat 2! The Falafel Appetizers are also amazing. We had moved far from this restaurant but we always look for an excuse to head this way to enjoy our favorite meal!

From the moment you walk in, the staff greets you with warmth and genuine kindness, making the entire experience feel welcoming and personal. The food is simply exquisite—every dish is bursting with authentic flavors and prepared with remarkable care. What truly sets IZGARA apart is that the quality of both the cuisine and the service easily rivals high‑end Mediterranean restaurants, yet the atmosphere here is far more friendly and inviting.
