Howard Beach Bagel Cafe

Unfortunately, this place has gone downhill recently. Not sure why. What I've noticed is the personal interactions between their staff and the customers has deteriorated. The quality of the employees behind the counter has been subpar. Many of them seem totally uninterested in doing the job. Doesn't seem to be an owner or manager overseeing them either. I usually get a bagel with either butter or cream cheese. Recently they have been VERY skimpy with how much they put on the bagel. One gentlemen that works there thinks he's auditioning for a stand-up comedy gig, but he's not that funny. He's rude. I truly wish I had better things to say about this place. I love bagels!

They advertise $5 off your first online order, but they don’t honor it. Spent a lot of money here and still can’t get the $5 coupon.

Nov 2024. I am a bagel freak. I have been going around the nation, but NYC beats the competition. The bagel was ok, cream cheese was fresh, but the jelly tasted like medicine, price is ok, location does have a parking lot. I would still recommend this place.

Excellent bagel place. And I know bagels. There are a nice size, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Store has two clean bathrooms, tables and chairs, a grill and plenty of help behind the counter, as well as a large parking lot in back. Muffins, croissants, snacks, dairy and a large variety of snacks and bagels are available. Self serve coffee, or a Dunkin across the street. Bagel specials every Wednesday. They open at 6AM.

Great food except every time I place an order for pickup they literally miss something. They need to put someone on the phone who can understand better English. It’s literally every order I make they miss something.
