Policano’s Italian Sausage

Hands down, up, left and right this is one of the best sausages I’ve ever had in my entire life! Yum yum get you some. The sausage that is more red in color is the spicy version and it’s honestly mild but still excellent on spice level for me. The other sauces is the sweet and it’s juicy tender and cooked to perfection!

I just had the sausage, pepper, and onion sandwich from Policano’s and it was absolutely incredible. The sausage was perfectly cooked — juicy, flavorful, and seasoned just right. The peppers and onions were tender, slightly caramelized, and packed with that sweet, savory flavor that ties everything together. The bread was fresh and held everything perfectly without getting soggy. Every bite was spot on. And I’ve gotta give a big shoutout to my man Doug — great guy who makes sure everything is done the right way. You can tell he takes pride in what he’s serving. The quality and care really show. If you’re thinking about trying it, don’t hesitate. Policano’s does it right. I’ll definitely be back.

Great sausage sandwich, try it with “everything on it” - ketchup, mustard, bbq sauce, onions and peppers. Sausage is juicy and the bread is perfect. Guys that run the truck are awesome too! This truck sells sausage by the box in case you want to make some at home, saving you the drive to the pork store.

Simply the best! Not only are the sausage and peppers the best in NY. They also have the freshest Knishes and the thick Sabrett hot dogs. I've been visiting Dougie and the guys since I was a kid with my Dad. Now I bring my son. My go to is a double sweet, well-done, with everything. It never fails. Make sure you get a Dr. Browns cherry soda to wash it down. You won't be disappointed.
