Hayashi Sushi

There’s no better place for delicious fresh sushi on the coast. Don’t be fooled by its strip mall vibe, the food is outstanding. Highly recommended.

Friendly staff. We came for lunch. Their bento box was definitely a good deal but depends on what items you choose. I got the salmon entree but I wouldn’t get it in the bento box just based on portion. Tempura and California roll were great deals in the bento. The orange blossom was also nice. The portions were decent size. Everything was standard. There were a few tables inside and a couple outside.

I found the sushi to be quite average during my visit. When the waitress checked in to see if everything was okay, I mentioned that I wasn't particularly fond of one of the items, but unfortunately, she didn’t seem able to help address my concern at all. As I was leaving, she kindly asked if I wanted to take the leftovers with me, but I decided against it. I hope that in the future, they might focus more on customer feedback. While I appreciate the experience, I will not be returning ever, as I was hoping for something a little more special.

How have I not reviewed this location? Let's set the scene. I am tired from scouting for a photo location off the coast on a Thursday afternoon. I need substance. This is a place I'm looking around for food for. I am sat down look over the menu. Order green tea with miso soup. Instantly I am revived. Still holds true to today.

We came close to closing after visiting the Ritz Carlton. They stayed open passed closing for us and didn't rush us at all. We got some rolls, tempura, and their sushi boat which has a little bit of everything sushi and sashimi and rolls. Everything tasted fresh and didn't feel overpriced for the quality.
