Gennaro's Pizza Parlor

I love the thin crust but pretty disappointed with the toppings amount, and the way it wasn’t spread well. $2 for broccoli and $4 for chicken, and it barely covered the pizza.

My kids wanted NY style pizza since we were in NY for a friend's wedding. We stumbled across this place only 3 min from our hotel room. The pizza was good and all the kids enjoyed it. I also ordered cannolis and they were amazing!

I’ve always been a huge fan of Gennaro’s since the day it opened. The original management was great. When the new owner came in, the price increased. In the past, a meatball pie was ~$17. Today, that same pie is ~$25. In the past, the meatballs were large disc slices, now they are crumbles, meaning each meatball is roughly 50-80% smaller. Often times, the pizza is cold or undercooked. The old owner was there every day, while the new owner is almost never seen. The hours on weekends are also absurd. What kind of pizzeria closes at 10 PM on a Friday or Saturday night? I know four phone numbers by heart: my own, my home phone, my mom’s, and gennaro’s. I ordered a pizza last week over the phone. When I got there to pick it up, the staff had no clue about my order. Any professional pizza shop would never let a pizza out the door over cooked, dry and burnt. We received 2 pizzas this way. It can happen to any shop, but you make right by it and either offer to make new pizzas or reimburse the customer. They offered to do neither. Can’t even get in touch with the shop. Keeps going to automated answering, asking you to call back later.

I don't know what it is about NY pizza, but that crust is TO DIE FOR. I had two slices: meat lover and tomato basil mozzarella. Both were phenom. I was just expecting decent when I saw this place from a search on the interstate, but what I got was outstanding! Check it out, Saratoga Springs!
