Gelsosomo's Pizzeria Chesterton

They position themselves as not a super premium pizza place but nicer than any chain, and they do that exceedingly well. While the big chain places in town seem to compete to see who can make the worst customer experience possible, gelsosomo's continues to be the benchmark for quality and service in town. Ive never eaten anything here that left me going "meh", its always notably good, it always surprises me, and its the go-to in my head for just objectively good pizza. Been coming here since I was a kid 20+ years ago and ill be going here indefinitely

Stopped here after visiting the Indiana Dunes. Our server was super nice and attentive, despite working multiple tables. We got a deep dish pizza and the stuffed spinach pie. Both were very cheesy and tasted great. We are not from the area, but we would eat here again if we were closer (especially after some hiking).

Ordered pickup on a Friday night. Food was ready in under a half hour and still hot when we brought it home. I dare say the deep dish was better than any competitors in Chicago. Absolutely delicious and tons of leftovers.

Food is amazing, and our server Stacy was fantastic. We got the house special Popeyes Stuffed Spinach Pizza and it was great! Highly recommended if you like spinach.

Carry out. Ready when I showed up, before the 30 minute pickup window. Friendly cashier. Not the place for you if you like traditional pizza ( N.Y.) style. Round pie but cut in squares. Shelf life stinks too, don't let it cool down at all. Sauce is good but the cheese is like nothing I've ever had and that's not a compliment. I hear people rave about their speciality pizza, but I'm not into bells and whistles. I prefer simple high quality pizza ingredients. Not trying to recreate the wheel. Pricey too.Was in the area and thought I'd give them another try.
