Gato Coffee

6/25 Stopped by (it's a little trailer) to grab a cup of Joe for the MIL and the better half. Got an incredible latte (oat milk is an option), a mocha, a black drip coffee, a chocolate chip bread, and a bacon burrito. Everything was excellent. The young gentleman that made the food and drinks was very kind and made the drinks like a true artisan. This spot is much better than the k9 place a block away. We will definitely be returning soon! Thanks for being here; might consider a mini split for the space--could feel the heat from the press and espresso machine standing outside on a 90⁰ day...can't imagine what it's like being inside.

Best coffee in Salida – hands down! You can tell they are seriously passionate about what they do. Every drink is made with care, the beans are clearly high-quality, and the attention to detail really shines through. Salida is lucky to have this place – if you’re anywhere near town, do yourself a favor and stop in. We liked it so much, we purchased some of their coffee beans online and had it shipped to our door. Excellent!

Just tried Gato Coffee for the first time. Quite happy we finally have a tasty coffee in Salida. The vibe is warm and welcoming, and you can tell they care about serving a great coffee. My latte was smooth and full of flavor-honestly, best one I had in town. Excited to have a new spot like this.

The breakfast burritos here are stuff of legend for us now! Seriously so good, and make sure to give the smoky hot sauce on offer a try with it. On top of that, the service is so friendly and the coffee is delicious - Very balanced and smooth espresso. We'll be back!

This was the best coffee I had hiking the Colorado Trail! A truly one of a kind place run by some of the most welcoming people I've ever met. I stayed at a hostel down the road and the coffee was so good I came back the next day before leaving town to get another dirty chai and a pastry to go. I hope I get another chance to visit Salida just so I can visit this little coffee stand again!
