Friendly Red’s Tavern

Saturday night, parking lot was pretty full and we thought we would have to wait but, we were able to get in and seated right away. Very clean and modern inside. Our server Niomi was very good. We ordered drinks and they came very quickly. Also our food came very quickly, everyone enjoyed their meal the tomato lettuce and onion was a bit disappointing for an extra dollar a little lettuce end slice on tomato and a few pieces of onion. The burger was cooked perfectly as ordered. We’ll be back.

My first time and the food was ah-mazing. We had a big party and the service was excellent. The waitress was training a new server, they were both attentive.

Love this local restaurant! The bar is always very busy. They do get pretty loud in there so I don’t recommend is your looking for quiet dinning. The service is great, the staff is attentive and nice. The food is delicious! Some things are a little over priced for the portion size! The pizza is fantastic! I got the Maryland jumbo crab cakes which were good but definitely not Maryland jumbo crab cakes as someone who lived there! The goat cheese salad is someone goat cheese pressed between two tomato slices with a little arugula. A few more slices would have been nice. The pretzel sticks are absolutely delicious! Down side. Went for drinks a few times and have gotten the same drinks with three different price tags.

Having been to the Windham one and enjoying it, it took us too long to visit the Derry one. A positive addition to the Derry location is the pizza. The cheese pizza was delicious, though could have been slightly crispier on the bottom and was a bit floppy. Taste was on point though and the kids really enjoyed it. The kids tender meal was good, the tenders were perfectly fried and there was a good portion of them. The Deluxe Turkey Sandwich was good and very filling. The one complaint was the bread could have been toasted, but otherwise it was good. The Chicken Mediterranean was absolutely delicious. We got it with gluten free pasta and loved every part of it. Perhaps one of the better pasta dishes we’ve had in the area. It was busy but not crowded and kids are definitely welcome.

WOW! This place is really on top of it. Their bartender (Shawn) was seriously awesome. Very friendly and helpful when ordering a drink without alcohol but still yummy! He was funny too and easy to chat with! We placed a food order as well and it was all out of this world! Very reasonably priced as well! We got the steak and cheese egg rolls, bar pretzels, and margarita pizza! I can say this will be my new favorite local in Derry!
