Familiar Creature

We had a really good dinner at Familiar Creature! This is a great place to drink and/or eat, but it is small and gets very busy so make a reservation. Everything we got was very good - we don't normally eat chicken but the menu was pretty small and we wanted something hearty, but it was so flavorful and juicy. Definitely the star of the show. The potatoes were also amazing, and everything else we got. The drinks were also excellent and they have a lot of mocktail options. This is definitely one of the top restaurants/bars in Saratoga!

Having read about FC and Chef Michelle Hunter we put this on the top of the list while visiting Saratoga. It did not disappoint. No reservation but we’re able to find a great table outside around 6:00. Service was 10/10. Wine list is sure to please even the most discerning wino and the staff is very knowledgeable. Our server offered to let us try a few wines before we decided. For dinner We shared the roast chicken, potatoes and a beautiful green salad. Everything was excellent. For dessert we couldn’t pass up the house made ice cream which was so good it makes you close your eyes and smile. Do not miss FC and don’t hesitate to stop in without a reservation. If you get lucky like we did, you will leave happy and planning your next trip.

This was our second time eating at Familiar Creature. In the past, we go to a local restaurant when it opens, we have a great time and then when we go back again, we are disappointed. Not so here. This meal, 4 of us shared 6 plates and a dessert. The variety and quality made sure everyone enjoyed. The service was great and we cannot wait to come back again.

An absolute must-dine-here in a city with many great options! Make reservations! And save room for whatever their house-made soft serve ice cream is, it was the best recommendation I got during my stay.

Familiar Creature is a must-visit while in Saratoga Springs. The atmosphere is so chic and upscale, yet casual and inviting. The menu is approachable and exciting and everything we tried was 10/10. The hospitality is excellent, making for a memorable experience all around. Visited just a few weeks after they opened and cannot wait to go back!
