Dinner and a show? Evo Kitchen & Bar delivers both. We visited Evo Kitchen & Bar in September 2025 and grabbed two seats at the bar facing the open kitchen — hands down the best decision of the night. Watching the team move with quiet precision while plates flew out made the whole experience feel alive. It’s modern Mediterranean, but with polish and confidence. We ordered a spread because narrowing it down felt impossible: skordalia, falafel, broccolini, and the mushroom shawarma — and every plate hit. The skordalia was silky and rich without being heavy — that classic Greek potato-garlic dip whipped into something almost cloudlike, bright with lemon and good olive oil. It was deceptively simple, but the balance of acid, salt, and garlic was dialed in. The falafel were beautifully cris
One of the best tapas based dining experiences we have had in a long time. Very conscientious about dietary needs and restrictions. The GF and DF labeled menu was paramount in us reserving a table here. Our waiter was fantastic and knew the menu inside and out. His recommendations were always spot on and did not disappoint. Also, order the chickpea fries. They were awesome
It’s not often I’m surprised by a place, but this was a real “wow” moment. Service was exceptional. Funny, gracious, informative, friendly, sorry I didn’t catch a name but she was a real rockstar. We went on a Sunday night and sat in the loft area. We don’t usually take “to go” containers when we don’t finish something, but this time the food, Mushroom Shawarma, was too good not to. This place will make its way into our Portland food rotation and recommendations.
This place is the real deal. Service was amazing and the tapas plates were sooo flavorful and yummy. 4 plates were perfect for 2 of us, but it depends on what you order (you might need 5 or even 6 for smaller plates). I highly recommend this place.
We’ve been to EVO several times over the years, and our most recent visit was by far the best. The new Chef, Chase introduced himself and explained the new dishes. The mussels escabeche and the halloumi were some of the best food I’ve ever had at EVO. 10/10
