The chicken bowl was good but nothing outstanding. The atmosphere is great, the bar looks very nice. I got my food to go, it was as quick and hot.
Here’s a before and after of the amazing “Fiesta Salad” I completely destroyed. My only notes would be to have non disposable cups at the water station, but that’s it! I love that many restaurants have water stations like that these days. The service worker at the counter was very sweet to me and she helped me find an outlet for me to plug my laptop into so I could get some work done.
El Rayo’s barbacoa burrito. Awesome flavors. Their yucca fries with chimichurri dipping sauce was also delicious. Hubby got their chicken quesadilla, stepson also got the barbacoa burrito and his girlfriend got the carnitas burrito. Each meal came with tortilla chips and salsa. They ask you if you need a menu then when you’re ready to order, you place your order and pay. Service was friendly. Food was ready in less than 10 minutes. We each got a drink so our tab was almost $90 for 4 meals and one appetizer.
Went in before an event at cross insurance arena. They were very busy! But food came fast, and was delicious. Staff was friendly and attentive. My cocktail was very good. Was no seating at first, but shortly before food was ready, we got seats at the bar top.
Visited this place for the first time today and I was blown away by the vibe in the restaurant, the service, and the food. I don’t indulge in Mexican cuisine that often but I was shocked by how delicious the food was. All of the flavors in the dishes that I ordered complimented each other, the spices were very pleasant, especially on a chilly rainy day. I ordered the Barbacoa beef specialty bean and rice bowl, loaded tot nachos, and the chicken tortilla soup. With every bite that I took I felt like I had fireworks go off in my mouth. Additionally the portions are perfect and fit the prices. I would say a solid 10/10, would recommend if you’re looking for a place with vibrant colors, flavors, and great service.
