El Metate Mexican Grill

Great Mexican place in the heart of Clanton. Plenty of room for a big group! The food is good and the staff is super polite and attentive. We tried several different dishes that were good, but the menu is huge! Going to have to go several times to try a lot more options.

You will NOT regret it! I know there are about 5-6 places for Mexican food here in Clanton now, BUT this place is amazing! I have not had a single item yet that I did not like! The dishes burst with flavor. You can tell that each item is cooked to order and is served hot and in timely fashion. There has never been a wait to sit here as I believe that people have not given it a try yet being that there was a place that opened up shortly before they did. There are enough people in Clanton to share the love! You won’t be disappointed! The atmosphere is nice and sits right in downtown Clanton and is so pretty at night with the street lights of Clanton lit up! PS: Their strawberry cheesecake burrito was out of this world good! I absolutely LOVE this place!!! 1000/10 my favorite restaurant clanton has!! The food is amazing, the building is BEAUTIFUL!!! They really outdid themselves with this amazing restaurant!

Wow it was amazing and our server Natalie was tremendous at her job what a great expierence bring your family enjoy the food atmosphere and great time!! Especially when the band is playing!! Don’t forget the bar which is out of this world!!

Delicious food and excellent service. If my picky 5- and 8-year-olds approve, that says a lot!
