Amazing , friendly , and helpful staff! Would I recommend yes absolutely. They offer holds and send notifications of what your looking for isn’t available. They also transfer between libraries if what you want isn’t offered there. They have summer hours now will get back to old hours in the fall. I was given a booklet of things going on in the summer. A library card here is valid in all libraries across Connecticut which is awesome. The smaller key fob one is only for this local library use.

Nice library, friendly staff...except reading room can be exceptionally noisy. Display of movable blocks for children is just under checkout area, and kids are often making a racket banging them. This popular feature should be installed in the children's area.

My family loves visiting this library! The children's library area is a treasure trove filled with great books, activities, and multiple computers for learning games. It’s bright and welcoming, and the staff members are incredibly helpful and kind. But that's not all—the outdoor mega chess set is a huge hit with both kids and adults! It's so much fun to play, and it adds a unique touch to our library visits. It's not every day you find a library with such a fantastic outdoor activity like this! The ELPL has become a go-to spot for us to bring our kids to play and cool off during the summer. Whether we're inside discovering new stories, playing learning games on the computers, or outside strategizing our next chess move, every visit is great!

I've never had a bad experience here. The staff is warm and welcoming, friendly and helpful. And they're kind. If your books are overdue and no one has placed a hold on them, they'll renew them for you. Honestly I've lived all over the country and this is one of the best community libraries I've ever used.

Love this library. Spacious, clean, and mostly quiet. There is also a space in front where you can enjoy a snack if you need to. They recently started offering lawn games and there is chess set up outside which is nice! Great for a study break. My only gripe with this place is there is not much natural sunlight so it is very dark inside. But, that’s not always a bad thing as it gives it a very cozy vibe.
