The staff here is exceptional and efficient, no complaints whatsoever. However- the portion of ice cream you get for a medium is laughable, closer to a small. Getting “Extra” sprinkles was a waste. I feel bad for the staff because I don’t see folks being satisfied with getting so little. The owner must be cheap, stingy, and most likely greedy. This business is hopping all summer, surely the profit must be enough to dispense at least a standard portions for a franchise. The owner should be joyful that they can provide a treat that makes people happy.
This DQ is only open for the spring and summer seasons. It's always fun to go there before they close for the year. Who doesn't love ice cream!!!
I went today to get hot what I’ve ordered for years, hot fudge Sunday with nuts. The owner must be messing with stuff for better margins because the ice cream was pumped full of air and didn’t taste quite right. The nuts were chopped not whole nuts. I’ve never gone to Dairy Queen and got chopped nuts. When I asked if they changed something about the ice cream, they said no and scooted me to the side. I took three bites and threw it in the trash
Been coming to Niantic for 30 years. Dairy Queen WAS always quality back two years ago. Now, the quality is not there. I truly believe the formula was changed and the owner is skimping on ingredients.The ice cream seems like less cream and more ice. You can notice the water In the sides of the cup, really. This is not one visit. I went three visits with same results. They also will not participate in the blizzard upside down challenge. This just affirms my opinion. It's sad because the long lines and raised prices are evidence that the location is making tons of money and not maintaining the quality that Dairy Queen represents. There should be a quality control division that the overhead company has to overview the locations. There are better quality ice cream shops in town with similar
