Deke's Bagels

BEST bagels in CT hands down!! The owner is a cool guy. My favorite is the Spinach and artichoke bagel with scallion cream cheese. Today we got the cheese bagel with scallion cream cheese. Soooo Good.

I've driven by so many times but never stopped until today. It was a non stop errand day and this is the perfect stop when your busy due to the fact that it's take and eat. No indoor seating made it super convenient. Drive up, order, go. Not a huge selection but it makes it so easy to order. Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious, especially the cinnamon roll I ordered. The addition of the lemon zest in the frosting made it over the top and next time I'm definitely trying one of their yummy looking muffins.

I try to like Dekes time and time again and only continue to be disappointed. This bagel was half burnt/half raw. The egg was covered in black from the grill (I can appreciate a little of that for flavor but come on). I don’t even know what the soggy stuff is in between the 2 bagels halves. The people running the front wear gloves and handle money while simultaneously touching and handling food. Just disappointed. Nice people there but not worth the money.

Stopped in for bagels as a friend wanted a dozen and we got breakfast bagels too .. coffee , and two smoothies . Great service and the bagels looked amazing , but the coffee wasn’t great ( quite bitter ) and the mango smoothie is still frozen solid after two hours ! So could have been better , hence the 4 stars rather than a perfect 5 .

Bagels were great! Not a huge variety but taste and value 5/5. They make their own spreads too. Nothing bad to say about this place. As good as a New England bagel that I have ever tried. Crispy outside and soft chewy not too fluffy.
