Everything was absolutely DELICIOUS. The twice baked eggplant was one of the ~ best things ~ I have ever eaten, hands down. The depth of flavor was absolutely unmatched: smokey, acidic, nutty, with a bit of spice. Other dishes we ordered and loved: toasted rice cracker, water fern cakes (available Fri & Sat only), garlic fried rice, and stir fried curry noodles. The atmosphere is hip and cozy. Lots of the seating is counter style and gives you a great view of the chefs cooking everything in the open kitchen. Our server, Ingrid, was incredible! Spent time chatting with us throughout the night, checking in on how we were enjoying the dishes, and answering our questions about the flavor profiles. A mouth watering experience!!! GO HERE.
Hands down A+! Eggplant and cabbage salad standout highlights. Such a friendly staff. Great open kitchen. So unique and flavorful. It blew our minds.
Nice aesthetic. Rather pricy for the portions. Garlic noodles were tasty. Good food in general, not authentic. Split 3 dishes with a party of 3. Service is a bit lacking (no water refills) and/but we ate from 6-6:45 pm on a Monday. Waitress was nice and definitely busy.
Some of the best food I’ve ever eaten. Every dish is thoughtfully put together and the flavors are just incredible. The cabbage salad was delightful and so refreshing, the stir fried rice noodles was spicy and full of complex flavors, the twice-cooked eggplant was smoky and wonderful and finally the coconut milk curry with rice was a perfect final dish to finish off the meal. It felt like a hug in a bowl.
This place is great. Consistency is so important in running a restaurant and I can say after about ten trips to this restaurant, it never misses. Standouts include their egglplant, shrimp with rice, flan, and scallops. I also love that they have alcoholic drinks that do not feel like an afterthought. and best of all, the service is wonderful. The nicest people. I especially love Misao, who greeted us with a huge smile the other night.
