Cedar Springs Public Library

I just went in to see what it was like since my home library is up the road. It's a nice small town library and since it's part of s larger library district I'm sure it's fairly useful. I'll have to stop again when I have more time to explore. They look like they have some interesting books on Michigan History tgat I want to look at. Yes I could have them sent to my library, but sometimes it's nice to be able to leaf through a book before you check it out.

We love coming to this library to read and play! The play area is the best and the staff is always friendly. They have tons of events that they post on their FB page.

As an African American, I’ve always wondered if others face the same treatment I encountered during my time at the Cedar Springs Public Library. My experience there was nothing short of awful. I was assigned community service hours as part of a traffic ticket resolution. With a brain tumor that makes maintaining a traditional job difficult, I thought a library, a place of learning and quiet, would be an ideal fit. Unfortunately, I was wrong. The staff’s behavior was unnecessarily rude and dismissive. They failed to inform me of their closures and initially assured me there were plenty of hours available. The peace and quiet expected of a library while having several activities and areas for children is unmatched! Doug is my favorite employee at the library and seeing him makes my day. Of all the libraries I've visited, the Cedar Springs Public Library is by far my favorite!

Storytime is so wonderful & today they had animals to share. My kids love to go check out the playroom they have as well. We end up spending a decent amount of time there!
