Castaways Ice Cream--Moiliili

In early January, my boyfriend & I decided to try out this new ice cream place. I got the holiday eggnog ice cream & it definitely satisfied my craving! My boyfriend finished his ice cream in a waffle cone(I think he got ube & salted caramel if I remember correctly), everything was delicious!

The owners of Castaways Ice Cream Shop are seriously sweet people! The ice cream is homemade and they have very unique flavors! They care deeply about their shop and the make small talk with the customers that come in! Me and my friends tried a few of the flavors and the Lychee with mochi is very soft and I definitely recommend! I ended up getting the waffle bowl with Mint Oreo and Strawberry fields and the owner gave generous portions while prioritizing the lighters flavors at the top while the stronger flavors at the bottom.

REAL UBE Ice Cream! Award winning vanilla bean. Mint Orea hot fudge waffle cup. I also had a fresh baked chocolate cookie warm and gooey. Robert behind the counter is super friendly. Must visit for real handmade ice cream.

Flavors were really interesting and homemade with out preservatives!! Robert the owner was awesome! It was our first time here and he gave us the breakdown on what to try based on our flavor preferences . They encourage sampling here and he helped us with all that. He even sat down with us after and had a great conversation with him. Thank you castaway and thank you Robert will definitely be back 🙌🏾💯🤙🏾

“The best ice cream that I’ve ever had!” All the incredible homemade flavors (Madagascar Vanilla, Ube Coconut, Hawaiian Macadamia,etc) are so rich and creamy! The waffle cones are made in house and right in front of you. Robert, the owner, is very kind and willing to share his local knowledge. We are only here for a week and will most likely return for more!
