My husband and I went here for a date on Saturday evening, it was a unique and fun experience! We opted for the Sultan’s feast (which had around 4 courses, all delicious) including lentil soup, hummus and pita, mint tea, chicken and beef curry with couscous, and a baklava for dessert. The highlight was the friendly and talented belly dancer who performed for us while we ate. Our only complaint was that the server seemed like he was in a hurry to get us out of there, and didn’t seem friendly or approachable. Otherwise, I highly recommend checking this place out!
Phenomenal food. I can’t say it’s the best Moroccan food ever since it was my first time eating it but it was absolutely delicious. If you’ve had Middle Eastern then that’s a good reference point but the use of spices is almost Indian. Don’t hesitate if you’re thinking about it. Service was great and you get a lot of food so prepare yourself.
I had reservations for dinner when I arrived I was shocked to find only 8 parking spaces. There is no additional parking anywhere near the restaurant. So go early and plan to walk to eat. The service makes up for the lack of parking. They were super attentive. The food was good and plentiful. They had belly dancing that night and the dancer was super interactive with the crowd. It's a small place but well worth the visit.
My wife had called to make a reservation to eat here hoping to see belly dancers as advertised on their website, since it was our 21st anniversary and we wanted to do something special and different. We had called a little prior to our reservation to confirm the time as we were running a little late and they didn't appear to have our reservation but said it didn't really matter what time we got there since they were slow, so we got there at 7:00. It took several minutes before someone came to seat us. There were only three other tables in the restaurant totaling 13 people. We get seated and wait for over 20 minutes for water. Everything took incredibly long to get to our table. There were at least 5 staff members and just the three other tables there, two of which were also just as dismay
The food is delicious! The service and workers are great and they have really fair prices for the quality of the food. The restaurant on the inside is very beautiful and the chairs are very comfortable! Lastly the entertainment is great! Overall this is definitely my favorite restaurant in town and knowing that it has been here since 1984 really proves how amazing this establishment is!
