Cantina Captiva

We had a good dinner experience at Catina Captiva while staying at South Seas Resort. There was no wait when we went on a Friday evening. The inside is uniquely decorated and dollar bills line the walls and ceiling. The server came over immediately and took drink orders. The margaritas were excellent, and we particularly enjoyed the mango margaritas. Complimentary chips and salsa were provided. We also ordered guacamole as an appetizer, and it was good but small for the price. We ordered a variety of entrees, including tacos, mini burritos, taco salad, and beef fajitas. The moment you walk in, the interior grabs your attention—walls covered in dollar bills give the place a fun, quirky, and authentic vibe that perfectly matches the laid-back island atmosphere. The food is excellent, fresh, and full of flavor, with an authentic feel that makes it clear care goes into every dish. The service is friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which really elevates the entire experience. Good Mexican restaurant similar to any other one. Nothing extraordinary but good food and friendly service. Unique interior design. Plenty of seating. Small bar with stools available. Place was clean. Lots of inside and patio seating.

Stopped for lunch after riding out bikes from Sanibel. The service was excellent and we really enjoyed the food - chips and guacamole followed by chimichangas and fish tacos. Cosy interior and lots of outdoor seating. It's worth taking a dollar bill to staple to the wall!

Best authentic Mexican food. Fresh salsa, best fried fish tacos, and an atmosphere that is second to none. Super chill with excellent service. We cannot wait to go back.
